This is the longest mission you have had to date. And unless you are high enough level to do it all at once. You will probably remain with half of it done for a long time. The way this mission works is that there is two paths.
You speak with Naji who will send you to see the President Karst. Karst tells you that he is sending you the other nations of Vana'diel to look at relations and aid however needed. You must visit San d'Oria and Windurst, the order that you go in is not set. Which ever you pick is up to you. My preference is San d'Oria first and then Windurst. I will explain both paths.
If you pick San d'Oria first visit the Bastok Consulate in Northern San d'Oria. Speak with the ambassador Helaku. He tells you of troubles the Elvaans are having with the Orcs and to speak with Halver. Halver is inside the castle, Chateau d'Oraguille to the right of the stairs inside. He tells you about the orcs being organized and wants you to kill their chief.
Run to Ghelsba Outpost all the way back to the H-7 where Warchief Vatgit hangs out. He is their boss, though he sounds like a NM he is just a regular monster when you check him. If you are about 18-20 then you can probably kill him solo, otherwise get some friends or a nice higher level and have them kill him for you. As all as you are in the party that kills him you will complete the mission. You will know when your title changes to Warchief Wrecker. Warchief Vatgit respawns about every 5-10 minutes. So if he is not there then he will be back soon enough. Beware of links if you are fighting solo.
Return to Helaku and he will tell you to head to Windurst. When you arrivein Windurst go to the Bastok Consulate in Port Windurst. Speak with Melek who will tell you about Windurst and tells you to go to the Tarutarus in Heaven's Tower to find out what this mysterious monster is. Speak to Kupipi who tells you about a monster in Giddeus. Go to Giddeus to the Burning Circle to fight the monster.
The Burning Circle in Giddeus is reached by going all the way to G-12 where you will enter the Burning Circle area. In there select the Burning Circle and pick the mission once you examine it. Enter when ready. As for the party set up for the monster inside. You will want a Party of 25+, the fight is capped at 25, so if you have gear over 25 have something to replace it. Have a tank PLD, WAR, or NIN any of them will do. Have a BLM, WHM and some other melee to deal damage. The fight is not very hard, just make sure you have equipment and you all know your task. There are two monsters inside, the Searcher and the Monster a Dragon. Kill the Searcher first and have the BLM Elemental Seal Sleep the Dragon. Have the tank pull the Searcher and start killing it. Do not pull out anything overly powerful, Searcher is weak. Once it is dead, have the tank provoke the Dragon and go in. If you want to be safe and the Dragon is still asleep, have the tank wait until its second provoke is ready and provokes again so the dragon does not come after the BLM which is can do sometimes. After than, just tank it as normally would and wait till about 50% HP before you go all out on it.
Afterwards you will get a cutscene and be dropped out by East Sarutabaruta. Return to the Bastok Consulate and then after speaking with Helaku return to Bastok and Naji for your Rank 3 and 3000 Gil.
If you pick Windurst:
Travel to Windurst and to the Bastok Consulate in Port Windurst. Speak to Melek and find out that the Windurstians have ask Bastok to do an errand for them. You are suppose to deliver a gift to the Yagudo in Giddeus. You are to get the gifts, Magical Weapons from the Windurstians and take them to the Yagudo. But Melek is interested in these weapons and ask you bring them to back. Visit Kupipi in Heaven's Tower to get the weapons and return to Melek. From there Melek will tell you to take these fake weapons to the Yagudo. Now whether you are honest or not, the Yagudo will not take the Magical Weapons. They will recognize the fakes and tell you to find them an Aspir Knife dropped from Eyy Mon the Ironbreaker. He is a NM in Giddeus that is found near by the Yagudo you spoke to, Uu Zhoumo who is near the Treasure Room. Eyy is in one of the nearby hallways, kill him and get the knife. If you are lv 15 you should not have much trouble from him. Give this knife to Uu Zhoumo and return to the consulate.
Melek tells you to go to San d'Oria now. Go to Northern San d'Oria to the Bastok Consulate and speak with Helaku. He tells you about some beast in Ghelsba and to talk to Halver. Halver is in the Chateau d'Oragille who wants you to investigate some sights of a beast in the Yughott Grotto. The Yughott Grotto is between Ghelsba Outpost and Fort and can be reach from either area. Though it is best reached by Ghelsba Outpost at H-11. From there travel through the Grotto to K-5 where you will zone to the Burning Circle. Inside you will find the Burning Circle, examine it and select the mission.
There are two monsters inside, the Spotter and the Monster a Dragon. Kill the Spotter first and have the BLM Elemental Seal Sleep the Dragon. Have the tank pull the Spotter and start killing it. Do not pull out anything overly powerful, Spotter is weak.
Afterwards return back to Helaku and he says to return to Bastok. Speak to Naji in Bastok to get your Rank 3 and 3000 Gil. |
