You will need near to full rank points to get the mission and once you do you will be directed to Naji in Metalworks. Speak with Naji who will tell you to go to Norg to talk to Gilgamesh. Before you do anything else you will want to get an Adaman Ore for how many parties there are in the alliance. This missions is best done with 2 or 3 parties. The NM will drop 6 items, so if everyone needs one divide the number of people needing the drop by 6 to know how many Adaman Ore you need. You will need at the least 2 Ore unless only 6 people need it and the other are just helping.
When you have your alliance ready head out for Norg to get the cutscene with Gilgamesh, if you have not been to Norg since killing the Shadow Lord you will recieve a long cutscene upon entering Norg and another cutscene when you talk to Gilgamesh. So to make sure when you speak to him, keep going until he tells you to get the Frag Rock.
Once finished take the chocobo in Norg out to Ifrit's Cauldron and enter it from Yhoator Jungle at I-5. Now that you are inside Ifrit's Cauldron take the first left turn you have and then afterwards the next right turn and you will be at the point H-7 there will be a ??? this is where the Adaman Ore goes to. First clear the area out, there will be two NMs a bomb and lizard. The Bomb drops the Frag Rock, the lizard is annoying. If you have two parties, divide up the party with most of the party on the Bomb and a tank and WHM on the lizard, if you have a full 18 alliance, put two parties on the bomb and one party on the lizard and you will not have any trouble. Watch out for the suicide, keep Barfira and Stoneskin up and watch the Stuns.
Once everyone has a Frag Rock return to Norg and Gilgamesh and then to Naji for your Rank 7 and 40,000 Gil |
