Once you have enough crystals to get the mission, you have to speak with the President, and then talk to Gumbah in Bastok Mines and then back to Iron Eater outside of the President's Office. And then you are ready to go out to Quicksands Caves.
Go to Western Altep Desert and enter the Quicksands Caves at G-6, when you enter the go until there is a four way intersection, and take the right, then at the end of the hallway there is a gate and pad to stand on. It requires two to three people to activate it depending on size, go through and south there will be another pad in the next room, do the same thing and you will in a hallway. Here it where you will be fighting the 3 NM Anticans. In the room at the end of the hall there is 3 Anticans and there are two spiders in the hall. Kill the anticans and the spiders, rest and get ready.
Party setup will require either a BLM or BRD to sleep the 3 NMs. The 3 NMs are as follows.
Centurio IV-VII Warrior Kill third
Princeps IV-XLV Paladin Kill second
Triarius IV-XIV Black Mage Kill first
Other than having a BLM, you should have a strong melee group if you want to finished quickly, either a NIN or PLD is fine for the tanking. This can be done with any number of people, so a party or alliance will be fine.
Once you are ready, have a brave soul go in and examine the statue, and have the BLM/BRD ready to sleep them. Then kill one at a time.
After they are all dead examine the statue, everyone for a cutscene. Now return to Western Altep Desert and travel the long distance to D-11 where a tunnel lies to take you to a secret place not on the map, follow it out and you will find another entrance to Quicksands Cave in a trench. Enter inside and go to K-8 and enter the door there and follow it around till you find another gate and open it. There inside is a ???, examine for a cutscene.
Now return back to Iron Eater to get the final cutscene and mission complete. |
