This is the fun one, it is the last one for the Bastok Missions and your hardest fight yet. Talk to the guard for the mission and head to Iron Eater to get the cutscene. Once you are all finished with the cutscene get your party of 6 together and head out to the Shadow Lord's Throne Room again. Since you were already there once I will not go over the walkthrough again.
As for the party set up you will want a PLD or NIN as the tank, BLM, WHM, RDM, and some Damage Dealers. Be aware that this NM attacks fast about as fast as a thief, but wielding a Great Sword, so watch for the big damage. The WHM job will be cure the tank completely while the others fight him. And watch out for sleep AoE that has a very long range, so WHM might want a poison potion or two. After the NM is at 50% or so Volker will join in the fight and now you must keep him alive as well as fight the NM who now will have two extra friends with him. But continue to have the tank fight with the main NM, while the BLM and RDM nuke the heck out of the two friends, each one take one. Afterwards resume you full assault on the NM and keep Volker alive, if he dies you lose. The friends might come back, so be prepared and push to the end. It is a hard fight, but with good teamwork you can win.
Afterwards get a cutscene and head back to the President's Office for your final long cutscene and Rank 10, 100,000 Gil and Bastok Banner. |
